Protest against the government neglecting the social dialogue

The representatives of NSZZ “Solidarnosc” have left a plenary meeting of the Tripartite Commission as a sign of protest against the government neglecting the social dialogue and the social partners demands e.g. in the minimum wage talks. Considering the recent announcements of increasing the VAT tax, the costs of budgetary deficit are to be paid again by the lowest earners. The government evades answering the question of the path to minimum wage reaching 50% of the average wage. Among other issues proving bad will of the government, the unionists mentioned amendments to the labour law without consultation, discussing several matters referring to the health care only with selected trade union organisations and violation of the trade Union Act in terms of consulting trade unions during the procedures of law amendments.
