Stop discrimination against the employees

4 March - NSZZ "Solidarnosc" protests against the discrimination against the employees working in small work places. The Unions claims that proposals of changes in the labour code and national work standards and safety proposed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy can cause discrimination.

National Commission of NSZZ "Solidarnosc" strongly opposed these attempts of discrimination against the millions of employees (including pregnant women) just because they work in small companies. This situation would let employers dismiss anyone without giving a reason and promote pathological self employment, which does not involve any regulation of the workers rights, including the right to holiday. It would allow employers also to lay off the workers in a pre - retirement age.
The Presidium of the National Commission asked the Ombudsman to take a definite position on this case and also wants this acts of Parliament to be withdrawn. In the statement of the National Commission we can read:

"We emphasize, that the signature of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy under the bill of such acts makes his vocational qualifications doubtful and makes deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak's - the chairman of the Trilateral Social-Economical Commission - declarations of will of developing social dialogue doubtful as well".
